I built CaseChain around the part that kept breaking: the connection between a good mystery idea and a puzzle book whose answers still agree. The system keeps creative wording editable while protecting the underlying mappings. In practical terms, the checker produced 1,000 structurally distinct books without breaking the protected 8+1 rules. Do I need to edit JSON or XLSX files?

No. The main dashboard route is designed for visual input. The advanced files remain available for inspection, but they are not required for the normal book-building flow.

What if I do not have a book idea?

Choose from 24 Book Starters across three story worlds or use Surprise Me. You can also begin with your own premise when you are ready.

Do I need an AI API key?

No CaseChain account or API key is required for the preset route. The optional Prompt Bridge creates structured instructions you can use with ChatGPT or Claude without storing a key in CaseChain.

Does CaseChain publish or guarantee book sales?

No. CaseChain creates and checks production files, but a final human review is required. You remain responsible for editorial review, rights, platform compliance, uploading, pricing, and marketing. If your release uses AI-generated text or AI-generated images, check and follow KDP's current disclosure rules. CaseChain does not claim KDP approval, sales, ranking, or income.

What files do I receive?

The release path separates a 51-page Review Draft, a clean 50-page reader interior, a one-page full-wrap cover PDF, and a Release Candidate ZIP containing source and verification records.

Which print sizes are supported?

CaseChain supports 8.5 by 11, 8 by 10, and 7 by 10 inch no-bleed paperback interiors.

Is Cover Art Studio required?

No. CaseChain already includes the Book Builder, logic checks, reader interior, Cover Builder, and release package. Cover Art Studio is an optional prompt toolkit for buyers who want more cover-art directions.

Does CaseChain run locally?

Yes. The preset route runs locally in your browser without a CaseChain account, API key, or CaseChain network request.

What usage rights do I receive?

Your usage rights and limits are stated in the License and Limitations file included with the delivery package. Review that file before publishing or distributing an output.
